From small Gardens or individual borders to large gardens we do it all!

We chose a triadic colour combination for this garden. The planting used different shades and tones of green, interspersed with pale yellows, whites and violet. The subtle contrast of the yellow and violet created a soft and relaxing garden that doesn't scream for attention. The landscaping materials that we used and the planting were intentionally modest. The use of timber sleepers to add different levels of planting and shingle in the beds added interest without making the garden too busy.

"Courtyard Garden", Cartmel
In March '24 we were contacted to undertake a full garden remodel. Our client had recently moved into the property and needed help with the garden, which had been neglected for some time.

The garden required full renovation as every plant was completely choked out by bind weed.

Despite being a small garden, it took a number of weeks to landscape and prepare the ground for planting. The ground had to be dug over numerous times to remove any remnants of bind weed root and then bucketloads of manure were dug in to recondition the soil.

September 2024
"Terrace Garden", Arnside
This is an ongoing project in Arnside. This client recently moved to a new house where the back garden cosied of 5 narrow gravel terraces.

Our client asked for a garden where her children could play and enjoy edible plants.

We began by removing 6 tonnes of gravel. After most of the gravel was removed we could lift the weed control fabric and begin redesigning the terraces.

The reclaimed railway sleepers that formed the terraces were reconfigured to create 3 wider terraces with much wider steps leading to each one.

Finished project pictures still to come.

Once the hard landscaping was completed, the levels had to be raised and 12 ton bags of topsoil borrowed in and levelled.

The next step is laying the turf and finally planting in the early spring.
